Powerhouse Museum Parramatta

J&J were contracted with cutting and removing several concrete door openings on this project. These doorways were designed to be taken out once the structure of the building be came completed. 

The doorways featured large, sturdy openings situated in areas with significant foot traffic. This required the services of a skilled concrete cutting company, equipped with the necessary expertise, knowledge, and certifications to successfully complete the job.  

Job requirements

  • Setting up excavation zones around the areas of works, making sure the work area was safe for all to work in. 
  • Setting out door openings and lifting points.
  • Stitch drill corners out of the penetrations to stop over cuts 
  • Door penetrations needed to be cut into 1T concrete blocks 
  • Lift concrete blocks out safely and stored away.
